2. Access YouTube on an Ad-Blocking Web Browser 

The easiest way to block YouTube ads on Android is by accessing YouTube through an ad-blocking web browser such as 1DM / Brave browser. This guide uses the 1dm browser

  • Get it from the Play Store, launch the 1dm browser, and tap the three vertical dots to access settings.
  • Enable the “Block ads” option, navigate to YouTube.com, and enjoy the ad-free YouTube-watching experience for free.

The browser blocks video ads on YouTube videos and banner ads / sponsored ads you see on the YouTube feed.

3. Block YouTube ads Using Macrodroid 

Macrodroid is an incredible Android automation app that magically removes the everlasting YouTube ads without needing YouTube Premium or any YouTube client.

  • install Macrodroid from the Google Play Store.
  • Allow required permissions. 
  • Go to templates and search for “YouTube ad blocker”.
  • Add the template to the macros. 
  • Go to the macros tab and enable the YouTube ad blocker macro.

That’s it. From now on, it will automatically block YouTube ads on your Android device irrespective of whether they are skippable or non-skippable ads.

Note: This method was working well at the time of writing this guide (worked well for over 3 months), but it is not working anymore now (October 2023). We will have to wait for the ad-blocking macro to be updated. Thank you.
